John’s Place is a two bedroom home in Whau Valley is strategically situated in central Whangārei so you can enjoy the many local attractions and if you are riding through Northland, it’s simply seconds off State Highway 1 in Whangārei.  It’s ideal to stay for a couple of days and to use as a base especially if you are travelling solo and want a comfortable and relaxed place to stay and reflect on your day’s ride.  Cape Reinga is an easy day ride from this well located home, leave early in the morning and you can return back the same day.  

John offers this accommodation as “room available” in his home where you have access to his full kitchen, lounge and shared bathroom.  The master room can be made available upon request if you are riding with another couple or person and you both want your own room.

The lounge has a comfortable couch bed which can be converted to a double bed.

The deck is a great place to relax and cook your evening meal on the barbeque.  There is a block of shops (bakery, dairy, laundromat, restaurant) within 100ms.

Costs: $120 per rider per night - $150 per couple or $80 per rider per night (as a group)
