Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, sits near the North Island’s southernmost point on the Cook Strait. A compact city, it encompasses a waterfront promenade, sandy beaches, a working harbour and colourful timber houses on surrounding hills. Wellington hosts both ferries that cross between Wellington and Picton. This where you head off to explore the fabulous North Island and where you head across the Cook Strait which is reknown for its scenery as you head to the South Island.
If you are looking for rides around this amazing region, our motorcycle friendly hosts will be happy to share their local knowledge when you stay with them and if you are wanting to ride adventure routes we can highly recommend Adventure Guide which provide - The Adventure Map - Single or multi Adventure Routes and Adventure Tokens which mark on the map cool places to visit such as epic lookouts, iconic rivers and lakes, interesting historic places or weird and wacky landmarks.
