Welcome to Kaipara Views Eco Lodge, a private, peaceful and genuinely Kiwi escape just north of Auckland (State Highway 16). Set amongst rolling farmland overlooking the magnificient Kaipara Harbour, this eco lodge offers something increasingly rare - space, tranquility and the chance to slow down and reconnect with nature.
This comfortable two-bedroom lodge is perfect for couples, families, friends and travellers, especially motorcyclists wanting to experience New Zealand beyond the usual tourist trail. It is separate from your hosts’ home, so you have your own privacy.
You can enjoy a morning coffee prepared in the full kitchen while watching the countryside come alive, before heading off to explore this amazing region during the day, then return to spectacular sunsets over the Kaipara Harbour.
As night falls, the lack of city lights reveals an incredible star-filled sky - a wonderful reminder of just how far you are from the hustle and bustle; yet you are also very close to Auckland.

MEET YOUR HOSTS
Sharon & Shane
Sharon and Shane live on a small organically farmed lifestyle block where they farm cattle, sheep, have 2 cats and have the most spectacular views and sunsets from the lodge.
Situated in a quiet area just 2kms off SH16 with glorious native bush, harbour and farmland scenery, they grow their own veges and everything they use is ecofriendly and they are completely off grid and generate their own power with solar and wind turbine.
The lodge is modern, warm, comfortable and completely self sufficient with all linen, cutlery, plates etc provided.
It is is clean and a peaceful haven with comfort and glorious views from every window and both decks.
They have decorated the house in natural colours to reflect the outside surrounding forest and they have used recycled rimu NZ furniture where possible.
Shane is an avid motorcyclists and tries to take every opportunity of getting out on either his BMW, Honda or Yamaha with a group of friends during the weekends, riding around the amazing local roads and tracks.
Sharon enjoys cooking and baking and meeting new guests both of us, have travelled extensively and are passionate about NZ and sharing it with all our guests.
Sharon and Shane love to share their place and encourage guests to enjoy their native bush and lovely walks around this quet, peaceful piece of paradise which has stunning views and great natural surroundings.

Kaipara View Eco Lodge is located 85km from Auckland Airport so easy and convenient to get to. It has a large well-equipped kitchen and dining area, a cozy lounge, outdoor seating, and a picnic spot where you can enjoy the views of the sea, garde and mountains from the balcony and sunny terrace.
If you want to take a day off from riding, there are lots of attractions close by which include hiking and cycling and of course there is the Gibbs farm which is open at different times of the year for viewing their amazing sculptures.
There are two bedrooms with a double bed in one and two single beds in the other.
The Lodge has one accessible shower room with toilet, and a separate shower and toilet.
