The Kio Kio Cabin has been recently renovated which is fully self-contained with all the necessities for riders of an adventure. With hosts Cary and Paula having prior experience with providing accommodation with a bach in Kawhia, and being motorcyclists themselves, they are fully aware of what riders need.
Kio Kio Cabin is located on a 5 acre lifestyle block, 5Km north of Otorohanga and just off SH3, so a great location and easy to find. It is advisable to plan on staying here for at least 2 nights and then you can set off each day after your light breakfast they supply of toast, muesli, coffee, tea etc. Cary can certainly help you plan your loop rides from their property and is happy to drag himself away from his chores to ride with you as well.
If you don’t want to put your riding clothes back on after your ride, Cary and Paula are more than happy to do a dropoff/pickup from the local eateries at no extra cost. You are also more than welcome to have a wander around the paddocks during your stay and give your bike a wash down, especially if you have been enjoying the off-road and endurance riding this region has to offer.
Rate: $120 per person per night or $150 a couple

MEET YOUR HOSTS
Cary and Paula
Cary and Paula have lived in the North King Country area for the last 8 years having previously lived in Auckland. Prior to that they travelled in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe for several years in their 20's.
Cary has motorcycling in his DNA, having ridden motorcycles for 40+ years ranging from dirt, adventure, road and cruisers. He is a current member of Ulysses Waikato and Triumph Riders’ Waikato.
After years of shift work and Paula having a pet care business they have found a great balance between work and family time as they now work on a neighbor's dairy farm.
They have recently started a small silage/hay baling business and decided that they would like to welcome motorcyclists to their piece of country lifestyle.
