Two Rivers offer three boutique rooms 

Rua Awa is away from the other rooms and main house.  It offers the highest level of privacy, especially with its dedicated spa pool. 

Mangateitei and Mangawhero have a shared entrance deck, door and corridor.  Whilst the Mangawhero room has a dedicated spa pool, the Mangateitei room does not currently have access to a spa pool. ​​​ However, when small groups use both rooms then the spa is big enough for all.

All three rooms are close to the two babbling mountain rivers, with rural views across to the Tongariro National Park.  Each room has a dedicated parking spot, fast/unlimited wi-fi, and a kitchenette.  Security cameras (24/7 recording) cover the parking areas. They also provide drying rooms for any wet gear. Laundry facilities are available on request.

During 2025 your hosts Scott and Ula have made a significant investment to freshen up the rooms since they took over and to make them even more comfortable.   ​​​

Two Rivers is a short riverside walk to the town centre and Ohakune's excellent restaurants.  So there is no need to get back on your bike to enjoy all that this vibrant town offers.  Their aim is that you leave refreshed, relaxed and with lasting memories of the beautiful Ruapehu area as you head north or south on your adventure.

SLEEPS 6 | 3 separate rooms

If you are looking for boutique accommodation in Ohakune, then Two Rivers welcomes you to their luxurious lodge with stunning views of Mt Ruapehu.  Scott & Ula focus on luxury and privacy.  They offer a warm welcome to motorcyclists when you arrive, but then they leave you to enjoy your room, with minimal interruptions.

​Unlike many lodges, there is no shared dining or relaxation spaces.  They offer privacy and you will have direct access to your private bedroom with ensuite bathroom and kitchenette.  A breakfast hamper is provided giving you the flexibility to enjoy an early breakfast, before an adventure.  Or, if you want to relax, then take a late breakfast and coffee on the deck...​​ before heading off for day rides around this amazing part of New Zealand.

From Two Rivers there are multiple mountain roads to explore, one being an offroad experience!  The roads to Whanganui and Napier are also a great riding experience.  Being central to the NZ, Two Rivers is an ideal place to break your journey, rest a few days and to use as a base to explore our special area.

The 3 Boutique Rooms are available which can be booked individually or collectively for larger groups.

MEET YOUR HOSTS

Scott & Ula

Scott and Ula are a husband and wife team providing a warm welcome to all guests at Two Rivers Ohakune, which they bought in July 2024.   They offer a boutique bed and breakfast, on the edge of Ohakune and under the watchful gaze of the majestic Mt Ruapehu.  Two mountain rivers meet in their gardens. 

Scott grew up in Nottingham (UK) around Motorcycles, his dad and dad’s best friend rode some (now) classic Triumphs and Hondas.  His neighbour had a Kawasaki GPz1100, which left a big impression on a young teenager.  Scott took a different direction and ended up owning classic Mini’s instead.  Even though they do not bike themselves you will be assured a huge welcome.  If he ever gets his finger out to get a license, then his ideal bike would be a Triumph Bonneville Bobber.  

Scott’s primary work is in IT where he supports companies to share maps on the internet.  He is a geographer originally and passionate about his new home town.  Ula is originally from Poland and lived in the UK for 10 years before the family moved to New Zealand (Wellington) in 2011.  Ula works as an archivist.  Two Rivers is a passion project, providing something special for guests that want to visit our greater back yard.

Rua Awa is their premier room. Standing away from the house, this room offers a queen-sized bed and ensuite bathroom. It distinguishes itself by having an enhanced kitchen offering, a private deck and a private, undercover spa pool. If you are looking for extra privacy and peace, this is the room for you.

One Bedroom with ensuite | Queen Size bed

Mangawhero is one of their two deluxe queen rooms. Refurbished in January 2025, it is a beautiful place to stay and relax. The room is away from the house, but please note that it shares an entrance deck and door with the Mangateitei room.

Once you have entered the room then Mangawhero has a private spa pool and deck. Though close, the bedrooms do not have a joining wall, each has its own kitchenette and ensuite shower room.

A drying room is available for ski or wet weather riding gear.
